The hunt was a huge success.  I had 4 teams with 4 or 5 kids on each team.  They had a blast and the noise level was deafening! (there were 17 girls ranging in ages from 6-11, and one boy age 5).  My daughter's team won (although she did have the home court advantage, and it was her birthday party). Also, I had to accept quite a few bribes, which added a lot of fun to the game.

We printed out two sets of cards, since we didn't know what the weather would be on Halloween night. One set was inside only and the other was inside and outside. It only took minutes to set up the clues and it was half an hour of enjoyable fun for the kids. I think the adults got a bigger kick out of watching the kids squeal and run from location to location. Our pirate themed treasure hunt ended in the backyard with an actual treasure chest buried in the ground with toys inside. People keep asking when we're going to have our next party!

This game is so easy to use that even children can set up a treasure hunt for friends and family. Our youngest son liked playing it so much he wanted to create a hunt all by himself. It took him only a couple of minutes to print one out and by following the clear and simple directions, he was able to place the clues without help. For a scaveger hunt I copied all the clues for the amount of kids playing and I taped each clue on to the item and had them search the house and yard. Even if they solved the clue they had to find the next clue taped onto it. once all the clues were found the last clue was you won. This had the kids find the clues quietly and secretly.

Our church group had a fishing tournament as a fundraiser and I was in charge of the kid's activities. I made our hunt a pirate theme and rented a pirate bouncey as well. We all wore bandana's and the end included a small wooden treasure chest filled with goodies. It's fun watching adults help the kids, they really get into it.

I was working on the scavenger hunt for my soon to be 7 year old son. I tested the trial out to see if he liked the idea and I was thrilled that my 5 year old daughter was yelling out the answers as fast as he did. They both called the dishwasher a washing machine but hey...they went to the right place...works for me. We are having a halloween birthday party so I bought a plastic skeleton that I took apart (11 pieces) and plan to hide a bone in each location. Once they find all the pieces they have to put it back together.

Dear Riddle Me,
    My name is Donna L.  I am a mother of 4 from Biloxi, MS.  I used your riddle me scavenger hunt on Christmas Eve 2006.  I bought my nieces and nephews remote control chimpanzees for Christmas.  I hid them in the attic of my parent’s home.  That night all the kids opened up their presents and realized they were missing the gift from me.  I had three invitations and made three teams. 
    Team one was my oldest brother and his family (wife and 4 kids)
    Team two was my youngest brother and his family (wife and 2 daughters).
    Team three was my father with my 4 kids. 

I gave each team an invitation with their 1st clue in it.

My husband, mother and I did not participate in the game because we hid all the clues.  So we split the family into the three teams.  I gave them the following rules:
    # 1 You will all start the game at the same time.
    # 2 You can only pick up the envelopes filled with the clues for your team ONLY
    # 3  If you happen to find clue # 20 and you are looking for clue #3 then you can not touch it.
          You have to find your clues in order.  
   
It was so funny.  We had people kids and grownups running around like CRAZY trying to find the clues.  We were all laughing and having such a great time.  What they thought was the final clue brought them to the back of my car where they found small presents with their names on it.  All the kids had KAZOOS and the adults had SPOONS  (yes spoons, it was incredible funny) There was a note to attached that read.  Congratulations,  especially if you were the first team to find this clue.  GET YOUR TEAM TOGETHER.  YOU HAVE TO PLAY A SONG FROM BEGINNING TO END.  NO SONG CAN BE REPEATED.  so if you were last two teams to finish then you had to come up with different songs.  Whosever team won the music competition would received the final clue.  Oh my goodness.  It was GREAT.  Team three went first, then team one and then two.  They all actually did a great job with the music.  We laughed till we cried.  It was fun.  Team three won.  I gave team 3 the final envelope which brought them to the computer.  They have to check the mail and click on the message that had their team number on it. 

I went to monk E mail online and e-mailed three messages.  One for team one, one for team two, and one for team three.
The kids then held each others hand.  One by one in single file, Mathew led them up the stairs to the attic. It was dark so they had to go slowly.  When they were half way up I used the remote on one of the monkeys to make noises.  They all started laughing and screaming.  When they finally made it to the top of the stairs.  There it was 9 chimps stacked up like a pyramid.  EVERYONE LOVED IT.  It was a great success.  Thank you for helping me make this Christmas Eve Party one that will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

   Every Aug is girls weekend here in NH on the sunny shores of Lake Winnisquam. Each year I make a "hunt" of some sort so we can all have a few laughs. Last year I used Riddle Me and what a fun time it was. The riddles were for 10 yrs olds, but after a day of sun and margarita's the girls couldn't quite figure it all out. They were so very easy clues but one had to think a little. It was so funny watching these grown women running in all directions trying to figure out the clues. I used Riddle Me for Easter and it was a hit. I've been doing treasure hunts for my son for the past three years on his birthday. The Hunt lasts all day from the time he gets up, through his school day and all the way to his big family dinner that night. So, I'm thrilled to know this year I'll have a little help with my clues.

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy Riddle Me. I recently purchased it and used it for my sister's birthday party. It was such a hit my family wants another riddle hunt for my nephew's birthday. We have a good sized family with 10 grandchildren that want to play along with the adults. I originally purchased Riddle Me for my daughter's birthday. We did a massive scavenger hunt. 7 teams, all decked out with pirate scarves, all doing a hunt for their own treasure across 3 acres. It was awesome and I used your product to create each hunt. Great time had by all!!

My g/children have loved the Riddle Me games/hunts etc. of yours. Did our first scavenger hunt while at the beach last summer with my 5 grandchildren and Mom's ...had hints both in and out of the condo, around the pool, etc...ages at that time from 15 years down to 4...They had such fun and we had so many laughs watching them....It was  one of the weeks highlights for them... that was one of the requests for Easter entertainment this year when they were all here together at our house...I have printed the road trip games for them as well for some of the family vacations...also enjoyed...It is truly a great program for kids.

I have been a fan of riddle me for years! I own a daycare with children of all ages. This program has given my kids hours and hours of excitement. It's not only fun but the kids have to stretch their minds a little which I love. The puzzles are hard enough that they have to think but not so hard that they won't (eventually) figure it out. We had planned everything out, printing all the cards w/ the riddles etc. and the morning of the party it was raining (we planned for the hunt to be outside) so we had to make a last min decision to move the party inside! we had to change all the clues, riddles etc. and thank goodness the program worked for us. My family uses "Riddle Me" for our family scavenger hunt on Christmas Eve. We purchase a ‘family gift’ for the entire family and hide it in the house somewhere. We then supply each child with a set of Riddle Me riddles that take them from clue to clue throughout the house, all ultimately leading them to the gift. We have four children ranging in age from 10 to 18, so having the feature to make the riddles a bit harder for the older kids is great for us. The final clue is a map piece that all four have to get to then come together to map out the final location. This is the equalizer for us so if one finishes quicker than then the others, they all need to get the puzzle pieces together to send them off to the ultimate prize.

For me as the annual riddle maker, your product has made my efforts in coordinating this event so much easier! I used to have to put together age appropriate riddles for all four kids which took hours o complete. With your product, I can crank out a series of riddles for each child, print them off, and distribute them in a matter of minutes, not hours and I can take the extra time and spend it where it belongs...enjoying the Holidays with my family! I am the Sunbeam Leader (scouting troop for girls) at my Church and every 1st Tuesday of the month we have Worship and Birthdays, where we play games and celebrate those having a birthday in that month.  Riddle Me is a big hit.  This is all they want to do, which make my job a breeze.  I just go in and print off a new clue to the same object to throw them off from the last time.  I more then got my $19.95 worth.  May the Lord, continue to bless you in all that you do.  You have found a way to get my girls together to work as a team and feel comfortable about being around new people and opening up to one another.  --Cherie Harris

I absolutely LOVE this program. I use this both for my daycare and also when we have family get togethers. Earlier this summer we had about 30 people (teenagers and adults) over. Just wanted to let you know that I used your program this past weekend to run a scavenger hunt for my daughter's 6 year old party.  I came across the software in a Google search at 8:30 am Saturday morning as panic ensued when I was realizing I should have my clues already because the party started at 11 am.  By 9:30  I had customized my clues and hidden them.  I am very excited to continue to use this program as I am working towards a teaching certificate and teach Sunday school so know it will come in handy.  I can't wait to use it again. Hello I just wanted to comment on my recent order. I was very skeptical about ordering the Riddle Me software, however I had the best experience. I love riddle me.  I have two boys and have used riddle me for birthday parties and just for fun for them.  I am planning on using it this year for Christmas as well.  I really like the fact that you can plan a entire party from the site, invitations, the game, thank yous, all in one it makes it simple!! --C. Each year, I conduct an Olympics competition for the kids in my extended family.  Between nieces, nephews, my kids and a couple boyfriends and girlfriends, we have 31 kids in the competition.  I split them in 4 or 5 random teams per year and I conduct approximately 16 to 20 events, with a few new events introduced each summer replacing a few that get a bit tired.  Events include bowling, frisbee golf, swimming, trivia, baking, bocce, horseshoes, dodge ball, three-legged race, balloon toss, interpretive art, karaoke, math puzzles, eating, board games, video games, creating and performing a live commercial, and the kids' favorite event, the Scavenger Hunt.

Anyway, each year for the past 3, I have drawn up a Scavenger Hunt for the kids as one of the Olympic Events.  Since we vacation in Ocean City, NJ each year, that is where I conduct the Hunt.  In previous years, I focused the test on having the kids find specific places and things in the downtown and boardwalk area of that town, and we had lots of great competition and fun.  Of course, in order to draw up a Hunt like that, I needed to first scour the entire area and find 100 things or so worth looking for.  It was quite a investment of my time and energy to do this. This past year, I was kind of looking to change things up a bit, having exhausted most of the novelty things in the downtown area in the first couple of years of the Hunt.  

I found your program and went all the way though it and found lots of fun ideas, especially in the Riddle Hunt area of your program.  I was able to generate 15 - 20 riddles from your program for things that I knew would have to be somewhere on the boardwalk or in the downtown area.  The challenge of solving the riddles first was a terrific addition to the Hunts I had drawn up, and the randomness of walking the boardwalk looking for items that weren't specific to this address or that but, instead were there somewhere (like a fountain or an air vent or a lamp) was just a great twist on what I had always done.

I think I also took several "abstract items" from your program, things to find and photograph (like "movement", "out of control" and "awe inspiring") and added those to the test.  To round out the Hunt, I gave them 15 or so assignments to partner up with strangers and get them to sing songs with them, act out scenes with them, conduct interviews of them (similar to the Jaywalking thing Jay Leno does on his show), and video everything they do.
